Elder Scrolls Online | Extended Free Play Weekend on PS4 and PC/Mac | Includes Sale on Crowns and Game
Bethesda is thrilled to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online is offering an extended Free Play Weekend available now for PlayStation 4 and starting tomorrow for PC/Mac players, running through November 20th. There has never been a better time to discover the award-winning online Elder Scrolls game and the incredible updates that have made it one of the best MMOs on PC and consoles. And, with the recent One Tamriel update introducing worldwide level-scaling, this is a perfect opportunity for existing players to introduce friends and family to Tamriel and play together from the start – no “alts” required.
The Australia and New Zealand PlayStation 4 Free Play Weekend began at 12:01 am local time, November 16. PlayStation Plus is not required to participate. The PC and Mac Free Play Weekend on Steam will begin at 5am AEDT / 7am NZDT Thursday, November 17 – you can begin downloading it from Steam now in preparation. Information on a Free Play Weekend for Xbox One will be revealed soon.
As always, there is no subscription required to play The Elder Scrolls Online. Players simply need to download the game, create an account, and begin their adventures in Tamriel. The Free Play Weekend will include:
- No Restrictions: Access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game
- Free Crowns: 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on fun costumes, unique pets, helpful scrolls, and more
- Progress Retention: Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, or Crown Store items bought, as well as any progress made during the Free Play Weekend, will carry over if the player purchases the game
All Versions of The Elder Scrolls Online, Crowns On Sale
In celebration of the Free Play Weekend on PlayStation 4 Bethesda will offer discounts through November 24 across Europe on Crown Packs as well as all versions of the game, including The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game and The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition, which includes all four major DLC game packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood. PC will have a global sale on Steam only through November 28.
How to Get into the Free Play Weekend
PlayStation 4 players should navigate to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the PlayStation Store to download the game starting at 12:01am local time tomorrow. Players on PC and Mac should download the game via Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/app/306130/. Once the game is downloaded and players have created an account, they can login and play immediately.
