The speakers offer neutral sound which stays true to the original recording, thanks to a wide 46Hz to 40kHz flat frequency response. With 110W RMS output, the speakers are perfect for near-field and mid-field setups and powerful enough to fill medium-sized rooms with ease.
Fine-tuned 5-inch long-throw woofers, 3.75-inch mid-range drivers and 1-inch silk dome tweeters are backed by a sophisticated tri-amped active crossover and patented acoustic architecture.The Edifier MR5 Studio Speakers take advantage of a custom-designed dimpled tweeter waveguide, which enhances high-frequency extension and clarity while expanding the listening area.
This ensures consistent, accurate sound across a broader space. The studio monitor speakers also feature multiple settings to allow for room acoustic compensation, as well as dual preset sound modes and customisable EQs via the Edifier ConneX App.
Meanwhile, the addition of down-firing woofers with side vents offers an unconventional layout for speakers of this size, designed to squeeze more low-end authority out of their footprint.
Full digital signal processing with a true three-way crossover provides an amplifier for each driver. This ensures the tweeter, mid-range and woofer all benefit from their own dedicated power and frequency band.
The result is significantly reduced noise and distortion, compared to a single amplifier handling the full spectrum of sound.
Meeting the needs of modern professionals, the Edifier MR5 Studio Speakers sport low-noise balanced XLR and balanced TRS inputs, which are perfect for audio interfaces and mixers. For maximum versatility, the speakers also feature RCA and AUX inputs, along with a headphone output socket.
Equipped with a premium analog front end and Class-D amplifiers, the system supports 24-bit/96kHz resolution to ensure precise signal conversion and ultra-accurate amplification.
Building on this, Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification underpins high-resolution wireless streaming with support for the LDAC codec at up to 990kbps and 24-bit/96kHz. It is compatible with Android 8.0 and above, thanks to the integrated Bluetooth 6.0 receiver supporting multipoint connection.
