EA SPORTS celebrates Erling Haaland being the cover star of FC 24 – by transforming Norway into Haa-land
The Norwegian, and Manchester City striker, has received the honor of being the cover star of the first ever EA SPORTS FC game. To celebrate this, EA SPORTS have produced a tourism-like commercial showing famous Norwegian landmarks and sceneries being converted into “Haa-landscapes”, overall transforming the country into Haa-land. Through picturesque fjords, dancing northern lights, the majestic Pulpit Rock, and the beautiful archipelago of Henningsvær, Erling Haaland is being celebrated as a one-of-a-kind national treasure.
Road to the cover
Haaland is the future of football and is a natural fit for the cover of EA SPORTS FC 24, with the 22-year-old having a massive success in his first season in the Barclays Premier League, finishing as the top scorer with 36 goals – a league breaking record. Haaland also won the European Golden Shoe, which is given to the top scorer in all of Europe, while winning the treble consisting of the Barclays Premier League, the Emirates FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League with Manchester City.
