Drownlight Reaches 150,000 Wishlists Ahead of Kickstarter Launch

Independent publisher Crytivo and developer Fathomlight have announced that Drownlight, a survival-focused city‑building simulator set in a drowned world, will officially launch its Kickstarter campaign on March 24.

Inspired by the harsh decision‑making of Frostpunk, Drownlight places players in command of a fragile settlement built around a lone lighthouse—the only thing keeping a deadly force known simply as the Darkness at bay. If the light falters, even for a moment, the survivors are consumed instantly. Managing dwindling resources, unpredictable ocean weather, and the psychological toll of living under constant threat forms the core of the experience.

The project arrives on Kickstarter following a surge of interest, with over 150,000 Steam wishlists already backing the game’s momentum. According to Crytivo, this growing community has become both a responsibility and a challenge for the small team at Fathomlight.
