Do Not Miss the Chance to Play the New Nightmare Fueled Update of The Bornless

The war is not finished as the veil between them grows thinner on Farmouth Island. Cathedral Studios adds fuel to the nightmares of this world with Fractured Souls update for The Bornless. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to play it for free once Steam Next Fest 2025 begins on June 9th.

Fractured Souls will change the Bornless in drastic ways. With this update, the game gets closer to what the studios once dreamed of making. These changes include new gameplay mechanics, as well as an overhaul of level design, which we’ll discuss later.

Angel from The Bornless

With Fractured Souls, Haag plays a much bigger role in helping the player. Not only will he be at the player’s Safehouse to provide the trading functionality, but he will also become the core of the new Quest System of The Bornless. Haag is going to guide players on finding the next quest to continue their dangerous journey ahead.

The Soul Mirror is another mechanism added to the new progression system of The Bornless. Through reflecting upon this mirror, players see their achievements and unlock new characters and Demons to play with. There will also be a new playable Demon with the unique ability to terrorize Seekers.

Technical Enhancements

Orobas from The Bornless

With Nanite integration being added to the game with the Fractured Souls update, visual fidelity is improved massively. This visual enhancement works hand-to-hand with the new level redesign of Farmouth Island to be much more terrifying.

The entirety of Farmouth Island’s lighting has been redone so the eerie experience of walking through different locations is more tense. But not everything has changed in favor of the enemies. The Safehouse has been expanded to five times its previous size. Yet, some bad news for Arachnophobes since spiders now crawl the darkest corners of the island and can attack at any time.

Zagan from The Bornless

Those in favor of multiplayer fans will be happy to know that a new anti-cheat system has been implemented into the game for fair competition. There will be new localizations as well to bring more support to global audiences in their native tongues.

For Lovecraftian fans out there, don’t miss the opportunity to play the latest update of The Bornless which will be available for free on Steam Next Fest.
