Diablo IV prepares for launch day with a Server Slam weekend!

In preparation for the launch on 6 June, 2023, we will be opening the gates of Hell one more time for everyone to play Diablo IV and test our server infrastructure for what we are calling a Server Slam weekend.  From 12 May, 12 p.m.– 14 May, 12 p.m. PDT (13 May, 5a.m. – 15 May 5 a.m. AEST), everyone can come to Sanctuary’s defence on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4—along with couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms—against the armies of the Burning Hells to help us test the durability of our servers. The version of Diablo IV available during Server Slam will be similar to our previous Open Beta weekends, however it will include all bug fixes and updates detailed in our Open Beta Retrospective blog.  There are also some new rewards players can earn if they participate!

TO GET THE MOST FROM SERVER SLAM WEEKEND:

  • All character progression from the Beta weekends will not carry over into this weekend, so now is your chance to try a new class or build!
  • Traipse the entirety of Fractured Peaks while playing through the Prologue and Act 1. Character level maxes out at Level 20 for this weekend.
  • Visit the town of Kyovashad to repair and purchase new gear, upgrade your healing potions, and access your Stash. There are also plenty of Quests to experience Sanctuary’s rich story, World Events to exercise your fighting skills, and Dungeons to loot for legendary gear.
  • Don’t forget to try your hand at defeating the World Boss, Ashava, the biggest challenge of the weekend!
  • Earn rewards as you play, such as the Initial Casualty title (earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character), the Early Voyager title (earned by reaching Level 20 on one character), the Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic (earned by reaching Level 20 with one character), and a new reward the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy (earned by defeating Ashava with one Level 20 character).
  • Play with friends! Server Slam supports couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms.
