The new Total War™ ROME II: Caesar in Gaul downloadable campaign pack brings with it the battle of Alesia, a new historical battle for ROME II which artfully recreates the engagement in which Caesar finally conquered Gaul, enabling him to return home under arms and become sole dictator, ending the days of the Roman republic forever.
Alesia was a fearsome test of endurance and generalship for Caesar, and puts players through the formidable challenges he faced. With the hilltop fort of Alesia under siege, players must weather attacks on two fronts: from Vercingetorix’ forces within the fort itself, and from a huge Gallic relief army.
