Dark Horse’s Hellboy 30th Anniversary Celebration Continues with a Hellboy Lotería and a Hand of Glory Candle

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Mike Mignola’s legendary Hellboy Universe, and Dark Horse is celebrating three decades of occult investigation with a Hellboy Lotería and a Handmade Hand of Glory Candle.

Lotería is a traditional Mexican game of chance, and now, fans can gather together to test their luck with the Hellboy-inspired version of this timeless game! From El Diablito to La Mosca, all 36 unique cards feature artwork from Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, hand-picked to best encapsulate the fun of Lotería. Each game also includes 10 tablas (playing boards) and 60 tokens.

Inspired by the Hand of Glory candle which first appeared in Hellboy: Box Full of Evil, this handmade candle was created in partnership with 54Celsius and has been expertly molded based on the art of Mike Mignola. Made from 100% natural paraffin wax in the true-to-comics blue/gray color and including five separate wicks, this candle will bring light and magic to any setting for approximately 6 hours of burn time. (Hanged-man ingredients not included).

“There’s nothing like Mike Mignola’s HELLBOY,” says Eric Garza, the designer and content curator of the Lotería game (and other upcoming Hellboy 30th Anniversary collectibles in partnership with Dark Horse), who explains that, “We have poured a ton of love into this collaboration. It has been the privilege of privileges to work alongside the Dark Horse team and Mike on this, and I’m beyond happy to play a tiny part in celebrating an artist whose work has had such a massive impact not only on myself, but all of popular culture and the world of comics.”

Hellboy Lotería is available for $19.99 and comes polybagged with a header card, 36 cards, 10 tablas, 1 rules sheet, and 60 tokens. The Hand of Glory Candle is approximately 4” wide by 9” tall, made with natural paraffin wax and cotton wicks, and costs $59.99. Fans can pre-order the Candle and Lotería now from Dark Horse Direct and other select retailers starting May 30th.
