Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Gets New Trailer and Fall 2026 Release Window
CD PROJEKT RED has released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the upcoming anime set in the dystopian metropolis of Night City, where the action of the Cyberpunk 2077 game also takes place. The series follows an entirely new cast of characters and tells a standalone story that explores the city’s darkest corners, delving deep into what it means to be an edgerunner.
The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno and a story written by Bartosz Sztybor of CD PROJEKT RED and Masahiko Otsuka. The anime will be available exclusively on Netflix.
CD PROJEKT RED also unveiled the main promotional artwork for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, created by Ichigo Kanno (original illustration), Yukiko Kakita (ink and color supervision), and Yuichiroh Tozawa (composition).

“You Can’t Run From Me” by Rico Nasty, the song featured in the new trailer, and written exclusively for the show, is now available to stream on all major music platforms.
CD PROJEKT RED will soon be heading to Anime Expo, taking place in Los Angeles from July 2–5, 2026. On the second day of the event, July 3, the studio will host a panel dedicated to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, where attendees will get a first look at the series’ premiere episode during an exclusive screening that will not be recorded or streamed.
The panel will feature the anime’s creators — showrunner Bartosz Sztybor, executive producer Saya Elder, and director Kai Ikarashi —as well as voice actor Nazeeh Tarsha, who portrays D in the anime.Content creator Danny Motta will host the discussion.
