Summary: These live or die based on the writing and this is maybe the one to skip in this compilation and wait until it is published in the trade paperback for this series.

Son, I am disappoint

In the second of five different volumes of creepy stories inspired by the Creepshow series on Shudder we have two separate stories ‘The Gorgahmorrahh Tree’ about a tree whose roots grew so deep they reached hell and ‘Creator’s Rites’ about a comic book artist and his obsessed fan.

While I did enjoy the previous one of these, the stories in this one were just not as strong. The art and character design still works well as does the linking Creepshow themed stuff but I guess these are going to depend on how good each writer is as to whether they are going to be worth getting on their own.

As it stands this is probably one I would skip and then pick it up when there is a trade paperback with all the collected stories as this is not really worth getting especially compared to the other spooky themed stuff out at the moment.
