If you’re looking for an affordable but decent gaming keyboard and mouse than Cooler Master have the solution with the Devastator Gaming Combo which is perfect for people who want to get onto the gaming scene. The great thing about this product besides the price is that comes with everything you need to get an additional edge on your PC gaming. Even though it’s not the fastest keyboard or mouse on the market, it does the job and it also looks quite cool with its blue LED accents. It’s definitely ideal for newcomers!

Compared to standard keyboards, the Devastator Keyboard does feel a little sturdier and boasts anti-slide pads on the bottom of the unit which will prevent it from slipping. Key strokes feel solid without it being overtly sensitive thanks to the membrane switches which we could recommend to MMO gamers. I also like the design of the keyboard, especially the backlit keys which is ideal for playing in the dark or dimly lit rooms.
The keyboard also feels quite ergonomic and while using it to play a variety of games, I didn’t feel uncomfortable or tired at all. The only downside to the keyboard is that there are no additional macro keys but once again this bundle does target the basic gamer. I also like how the multimedia keys are conveniently located the top of the unit.
The highlight of this bundle is definitely the Devastator mouse that actually suits both left and right handers. The mouse even supports a DPI of up to 2000 on the fly and is quite accurate and fast. Just like the keyboard, the mouse has this great ergonomic feel and being ambidextrous, I love the fact that I can use this mouse with both hands. The mouse buttons are well positioned and the scroll wheel feels quite responsive which is something you need for first person shooters.
Final Thoughts?
If you’re on a budget and looking for some affordable gaming gear than the CM Storm Devastator Gaming Combo may be the solution you are looking for. Sure it may not be the fastest gaming gear around but it does offer a decent option for new and mid level gamers. As mentioned, the keyboard does lack additional macro keys but for those who are not hardcore gamers, this should not cause any issues whatsoever.
