GROUSE HOUSE TV DOUBLES DOWN ON AUSTRALIAN COMEDY WITH NEW ORIGINAL SERIES AND MAJOR CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS
Australian comedy platform Grouse House TV is expanding its slate of original programming with two ambitious new productions that further cement its reputation as one of the country’s most distinctive homes for alternative comedy.
Built by comedians for comedy fans, Grouse House TV has become a launchpad for original Australian voices. The latest additions to the subscription platform include Big Time Murder, an inventive reality game show collaboration with acclaimed comedy collective Dragon Friends, alongside a special new episode of The Most Upsetting Guessing Game in the World featuring international improv legend Colin Mochrie.
Founded by Melbourne-based multidisciplinary comedy outfit Aunty Donna, Grouse House was created to champion unique voices. The platform has grown into a thriving creative hub, showcasing acclaimed series including Descent, Finding Yeezus, Hug The Sun and The Greg Larsen Show, So You Wanna Win a Penis Pump, Trope RPG and recently launched The Shadowman’s Nightmare, an ambitious interactive transmedia horror-comedy created by Aunty Donna’s Mark Samual Bonanno. Played out over a 60-minute film with accompanying hidden website/videogame, The Shadowman’s Nightmare has already garnered rave reviews from critics and fans alike as “most fucked-up” (Covergeek) and “a future cult hit” (ScreenHub).

The newest original production, Big Time Murder, marks the first collaboration between Grouse House and Dragon Friends, bringing together two of Australia’s most celebrated comedy collectives for a chaotic blend of reality television with the unpredictability of improvised comedy. Hosted by Alex Lee with musician and comedian Tom Cardy as the sidekick, the series features an ensemble cast including Dave Harmon, Michael Hing, Jordan Raskopoulos, Demi Lardner, Simon Greiner, Greg Larsen, Mark Samual Bonanno, Lena Moon, Ben Jenkins, David Correos and Edan Lacey.
Meanwhile, The Most Upsetting Guessing Game in the World returns with one of its biggest guests yet, welcoming Scottish-born Canadian improviser and Whose Line Is It Anyway? star Colin Mochrie. Part improv challenge, part comedy endurance test, The Most Upsetting Guessing Game has amassed over three million YouTube views by placing comedians in increasingly absurd scenarios where the only rule is to commit completely.
Grouse House was established by Aunty Donna alongside their production company Haven’t You Done Well as a dedicated home for Australian comedy creators. Since launch, Grouse House has become an important incubator for emerging talent while providing established performers with the creative freedom to experiment across digital, live and interactive formats.
