Portable power!
I recently received the Anker SOLIX C300 Portable Power Station to review, and it’s been a real game changer. For its size, it delivers excellent power, smart design, and dependable performance — perfect for camping trips, weekends away, or even as a small backup system at home. I also think this unit could really help out in a blackout, keeping essential devices running when the power goes out.

What I Really Like
- Easily Powers a Small Fridge or Cooler
One of the best surprises is how easily the SOLIX C300 runs my small portable fridge that uses a car cigarette-style plug. It keeps the fridge running all day long and still has plenty of charge left over at the end. It’s perfect for a day at the beach or the park, keeping your food and drinks cold from morning till night. - Plenty of Power for the Size
With a 288 Wh capacity and 300 W continuous output (600 W surge), it’s got enough juice to handle most smaller electronics — phones, laptops, lights, fans, and of course the fridge. - Impressive Variety of Outputs
I’m really impressed with the 7 different outputs on this unit — not even some of my more expensive solar generators have this many. This gives you tons of flexibility to charge multiple devices at once, from USB-C and USB-A to AC outlets and car ports. - Fast Recharging & Dual USB Input Option
The SOLIX C300 supports 140 W USB-C PD fast charging, and it also offers the option to charge via two different USB inputs at the same time. Both of these USB ports also act as outputs, making it extremely flexible if you want to charge the unit while powering devices at the same time. - Pull-Up Light — A Handy Feature
The built-in pull-up light is a great addition, with 3 different brightness settings. It can be used lifted up or left down, making it perfect for camping, blackouts, or just partying outside. It’s a surprisingly handy little feature that adds real value to this compact unit. - Lightweight and Super Quiet
At only around 4 kg, it’s incredibly portable — easy to carry to the car, down to the beach, or across the park. I also own larger solar generators that weigh a lot more, and the difference is huge. The SOLIX C300 is super lightweight and super quiet, making it perfect for smaller trips, camping weekends, or beach days without the noise of bigger generators. - Keeps My Portable Projector Running
I also love the fact that it will keep my portable projector powered for hours, giving me the ability to watch as much YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, or movies as I want while camping or outside on a warm night. It’s an amazing addition to outdoor nights and makes the camping experience feel extra special. - Safe, Efficient, and Long-Lasting
The LiFePO₄ battery inside is safe, stable, and long-lasting, with thousands of charge cycles — meaning this unit will last for years. - Smart App & Great Warranty
It’s nice to be able to control the unit with the ANKER app, connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The app shows things like output, input, port status, car charger output, and heaps of other settings. I must say though, I rarely use the app, as the display itself clearly shows how much power is being used and how long it will take to charge. And the 5-year warranty is one of the best in the business.
Real-World Test — What I Ran Off It
In one outing, I was able to run my small portable fridge, charge my iPad, charge my phone, charge my AirPods, and power my Soundcore A20 Sleep Buds — all at the same time.
The SOLIX C300 handled it effortlessly and still had plenty of power remaining at the end of the day. In fact, it’s got enough capacity to charge all of these devices multiple times without needing to recharge the unit itself.
I also tried running a small boombox, and it kept the vibes going all day without issue — perfect for beach trips, picnics, or camping when you want music without worrying about running out of power.
Solar Charging Capability
The SOLIX C300 does have solar panel capability, which is great for anyone planning longer off-grid trips or camping setups. However, I can’t comment on how well it charges via solar, as I wasn’t provided with the panel to test that feature. It’s still nice knowing that option is there for future use or upgrades.
A Couple of Notes
- Don’t expect this to run large appliances, like full-size fridges, flat screens, or power-hungry tools.
- Some solar panels may not be compatible — check before you buy.
Final Thoughts?
The Anker SOLIX C300 is an awesome portable power station that punches way above its size. It easily powers a fridge all day, charges multiple devices several times over, keeps a boombox running for music, a portable projector for hours, and still has charge left — making it perfect for beach days, park picnics, BBQs, camping trips, or even as a backup during a blackout.
If you want a quiet, lightweight, and reliable power source to keep your food and drinks cold, your devices charged, your music and movies going, and a handy light for night use, this little powerhouse is hard to beat. It’s become my go-to for short trips and outdoor days, where I don’t need to haul my much heavier solar generators. Plus, the dual USB input/output capability, app control, 7 versatile outputs, super quiet operation, pull-up light with 3 settings, and projector support make it extremely flexible for charging and monitoring power on the go.
I’m thoroughly impressed — it’s almost perfect for what it’s meant to do.
