ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS FOR NINTENDO SWITCH NOW AVAILABLE IN STORES AND ON NINTENDO eSHOP

It’s time to create a unique island getaway – anytime, anywhere. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, available now for Nintendo Switch, players escape to a deserted island and create their own paradise exploring, creating and customising their island life.

Starting at launch, free updates will be continually added to the game, delivering seasonal content for players to enjoy. The first update, which is now available, adds “Bunny Day” in April. The software update also adds the ability to use online features* for Nintendo Switch Online members.

Whether playing online* or with others present**, island living is even better shared. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, up to eight people can live on one island. In Party Play, residents can call up to three other residents to explore the island at the same time***.

Up to eight people can play on a given island at one time via local wireless or online play*.

Even without hopping on a flight, a cast of charming animal residents with individual personalities are all living their lives on the island. Friendly faces like Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy will lend their services and happily help growing any budding community, from furnishings and home décor to upgrading your home and decorating it with furniture and accessories – some can even be designed and personalised.

Nintendo Switch Online members can use NookLink, launching later today, which is part of the Nintendo Switch Online app, to scan a Custom Design QR Code pattern from previous games Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer with a real-life smartphone and then download them to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. When connected online, it’s also possible to talk with friends who also have Animal Crossing: New Horizons with the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app, using the smartphone as a keyboard or for voice chat.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp players who link their Nintendo Account to the game will receive a special offer in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. They will also receive a download code that can be used at the Nook Stop within Resident Services in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to order special items.
