Amazon Announces Prime Day 2018 in Australia– An Epic Day (and a Half) of Deals Starting 16 July

Hot on the heels of the launch of Prime in Australia, which brought the most extensive suite of benefits for any Prime launch ever, Amazon announces another benefit for Australian Prime members – Prime Day  

SYDNEY—3 July, 2018 – For the first time ever, Amazon’s highly-anticipated annual shopping event, Prime Day, will come to Australia, with the day starting on 16 July at 12pm AEST with great savings available to Prime members until midnight on 17 July. Prime Day (and a half) will last 36 hours, with a number of deals exclusively available for Prime members on amazon.com.au.

Australia will be the first country to kick off Prime Day, with members here the first to access deals on books, electronics, DVDs, video games, smart home, cookware and kitchen appliances, toys, fashion, and everyday essentials on amazon.com.au. Prime Day will also feature incredible savings on Amazon devices including Alexa-enabled products. Australians can join Prime at the introductory price of AU$4.99 or start a 30-day free trial at amazon.com.au/prime to participate in Prime Day.  Other countries taking part in their own Prime Day this year include the US, UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, India, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Singapore, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Amazon launched Prime in Australia on 19 June, offering free two business day delivery on domestic Prime eligible products to nearly 90 per cent of Australians. Prime members in Australia will also have access to more than 8 million products from Amazon US sold directly on amazon.com.au and will benefit from Prime free international delivery on orders over AU$49.  Prime is enjoyed by more than 100 million paid members around the world, who benefit from free delivery on eligible items alongside shopping and entertainment benefits tailored to each country.  Everyone can try Prime and enjoy all of the benefits by signing up for a free 30-day trial at www.amazon.com.au/prime.

Prime members will also get a AU$10 Amazon.com.au credit when they stream Prime Video for the first time between 9-15 July; two months free access to Kindle Unlimited offering access to over 1 million titles for new customers who join Kindle Unlimited before 31 July; three months free access to Audible for new customers who join Audible between 9-31 July; free gameplay as Twitch Prime gives away a free PC game every day until July 18, including titles like Pillars of Eternity and Brutal Legend, and exclusive in-game loot for Warframe and PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds; and more.
