ASUS Announces All-New 2026 TUF Gaming 16

ASUS is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 TUF Gaming 16 gaming laptop. This brand-new addition to the TUF Gaming lineup delivers exceptional gaming performance, featuring up to an Intel^® Core^™ i7 14650HX processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The cooling system limits the fan noise to just 40dB in Turbo Mode, letting gamers play without distractions even during extended sessions. The TUF Gaming 16 sports classic TUF styling, with an all-black finish and anti-fingerprint coating. Practical I/O placement at the rear of the machine improves ergonomics and keeps peripheral cables away from the mousing hand of both left and right-handed gamers.

Esports-ready gaming performance

The TUF Gaming 16 features up to an Intel Core i7 14650HX processor, with eight Performance-cores, eight Efficient-cores, and a maximum boost clock of 5.2GHz. Able to easily run the latest games and applications, this processor has the power to drive incredible experiences today and well into the future. The TUF Gaming 16 also sports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with a maximum TGP of 85W, striking the perfect balance between performance and power efficiency. This GPU fully supports real-time ray tracing, and DLSS 4 upscaling technology with Multi-Frame Generation, allowing the TUF Gaming 16 to deliver smooth performance across every game.

The TUF Gaming 16 features dual SSD and RAM slots, both of which are fully user upgradeable. From the factory, this machine comes with up to 2TB of high-speed PCIe^® 4.0 storage and up to 64GB of DDR5 memory, but gamers can easily access both when they want to make system upgrades in the future.

Quiet and efficient cooling

The TUF Gaming 16 uses an efficient network of 3 heat pipes paired with dual 80-blade fans to cool itself during operation. These fans keep noise under 40dB when under full load in Turbo Mode (with even quieter operation in the out-of-the-box Performance mode), giving gamers an exceptionally quiet experience during extended play sessions. The cooling system routes some of the air across the motherboard itself, cooling down critical surface-mounted components. It also features dust filters, helping to keep the cooling system running smoothly for years to come.

Classic TUF styling

Adorned in all-black, the TUF Gaming 16 features classic TUF Gaming styling cues while offering a premium, tactile experience. A specialized anti-fingerprint coating helps keep the keyboard deck looking spectacular, with a tactile feeling that elevates the experience. A 180° display hinge allows gamers to easily find a comfortable viewing angle no matter their seating position, and like all TUF Gaming machines, the TUF Gaming 16 tested to MIL-STD-810H durability standards to ensure it can handle common drops, vibrations, and temperature changes.

Ergonomic I/O layout

The I/O on the TUF Gaming 16 has been thoughtfully designed, with the large RJ45 Ethernet, power supply, and HDMI^® ports mounted to the rear of the machine. This reduces cable clutter that might interfere with the mousing hand, without sacrificing the connectivity gamers expect. Three USB Type-A ports and a USB Type-C^® port with DisplayPort^™ 2.1 and power delivery support allow gamers to easily connect all of their peripherals and secondary displays, with the option to charge on the go without bringing the native power supply.
