KILLER INN | Free Trial + NieR Collab

Today, SQUARE ENIX launched a Free Trial for their fast-paced asymmetrical team action shooter, KILLER INN, allowing players to get a taste of the murder mayhem before purchasing the game. Alongside the Free Trial, KILLER INN has debuted a new limited-time-only collaboration with SQUARE ENIX’s action role-playing game, NieR:Automata. Plus, the paid version of the game will be 75% off until June 4, 2026.

The Free Trial allows players to jump into the game at no cost and with no playtime restrictions. Free trial users are subject to some limitations with match eligibility and playable characters. Those who purchase the game after playing the Free Trial will have their progress carried over to the full game, which is currently available at a 75% discount.

The Free Trial arrives just in time for the collaboration with SQUARE ENIX’s blockbuster action role-playing game, NieR:Automata. This beloved post-apocalyptic story comes to life in KILLER INN through new themed skins, artwork and more.

The items featured in the NieR:Automata collaboration event include:

Two new Collaboration Skins: Cosplayer 2B & Martial Artist 9S
Eight new NieR:Automata themed Collaboration Banners
Eight themed emotes with pixel art effects
Eight Collaboration Titles based on NieR:Automata
A limited-time Battle Pass, which allows players to earn themed rewards by gaining XP to progress through the rankings

Additionally, the development has recently introduced Patch 0.9.3, which brings a host of improvements and updates, including:

Updates to custom matches, including new options and allowing all participants to use characters unlocked by the host
Defenses against instant kills have been simplified and adjusted
Showdown mode will now start at 6 players remaining instead of 3 players; the threshold will automatically adjust for smaller matches
Updates to matchmaking for beginner players
Various updates to character ability and weapon balancing and bug fixes
