Summary: GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter is a great solution for those who plan to use their Xbox or DualSense controllers on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, as well as PC, but it is not a genuine solution to be used on Xbox and PS4, as it needs another original controller always connected as a “Guide”.

One Dongle To Almost Rule Them All

GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter is the upgraded version of GuliKit’s universal controller solution that allows using a single controller with PS4, Xbox One/Series, and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 ecosystems.

If you are a multi‑platform gamer like me, you likely spend a lot on accessories for each gaming platform you own. A huge part of that is the extra controllers needed for each platform to play games with friends and family. I have a DualSense, an Xbox Wireless controller, a GameSir T4 Pro, and a pair of Joy‑Con 2 at the moment. But the GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter acts as a cost‑saving solution that lets you use a single controller across all the above ecosystems.

This tiny USB dongle can pair easily with a DualSense or Xbox Wireless controller and then be used on any other platform, including Switch 2, PS4, PC, and Xbox One and Series consoles. The pairing process is fast and easy, but it does not support every controller type, as I could not pair my GameSir T4 Pro with it, even though that controller supports Android, iPhone, and Nintendo Switch pairing via Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, the instructions provided in the paper manual are not detailed enough. For example, the manual does not explain that you need to activate the “Pro Controller Wired Communication” option on Nintendo Switch consoles before you can use the dongle with the device.

The GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter supports both XInput and native input, which can be switched on and off by holding the small button on the side of the dongle. This feature is useful for those who want to use all features of their DualSense controllers on PC games, such as adaptive triggers, as the dongle performs much better in terms of stability and ease of connectivity compared to generic Bluetooth pairing. Once a controller is paired with the dongle, it becomes a plug‑and‑play device across all supported ecosystems, and no additional pairing is required when switching platforms.

Perhaps the greatest drawback of the GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter is its integration method with PS4 and Xbox consoles. In these scenarios, an original console controller must be connected to the dongle via cable at all times in standby mode before you can pair and use another controller with it. This is referred to as a Guide Controller. That means you need to sacrifice a controller to use another one, which makes little sense unless you have a very fancy, expensive controller that is significantly better than the original one used as the guide controller. Another limitation is the lack of Joy‑Con support, meaning Joy‑Cons cannot be paired with this dongle, and only Switch Pro controllers are supported from Nintendo’s range of products. It should also be noted that the dongle is not supported on PS5.

The latency and range of the connection are decent. I could comfortably use my DualSense from 3 to 3.5 metres away from the dongle, but that was the maximum range before input lag and connectivity issues appeared. When paired with the GuliKit TT controller, the dongle has a 2.95ms latency. When used with a DualSense, latency increases to 5.75ms, and with other standard Bluetooth controllers, it increases to 8–30ms, which is honestly too much. The dongle also supports software‑based controller customisation, such as trigger sensitivity, vibration intensity, joystick sensitivity adjustment, and Turbo input for face buttons.

Final Thoughts

The GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter is a great solution for those who want to use their Xbox or DualSense controllers on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, as well as PC. However, it is not a practical solution for Xbox and PS4, as it requires an original controller to remain connected as a Guide at all times. The minimal software customisation options and reasonable price make the GuliKit Goku 2 Wireless Controller Adapter a good choice for casual, multi‑platform gamers who want to avoid buying extra controllers for their Nintendo Switch or PC.
