Dodo Duckie Lands on PC July 23 2026

Indie studio BornMonkie are thrilled to announce that the much-anticipated perspective-swapping puzzle adventure Dodo Duckie is coming to Steam on July 23rd, 2026! To mark the occasion, a dedicated trailer with exclusive footage from the game is set to air during the upcoming Indie Live Expo’s April showcase on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00 AM PST / 5:00 AM EST / 18:00 JST.

Embark on a unique adventure, as you travel through a cozy world to rescue your friends from their alien captors. Leverage traditional 2D puzzle platformer mechanics to explore, collect coins, and navigate the world. Then, unlock special abilities that allow you to flip the levels on their head – quite literally – and reveal an entirely new perspective. Meet an eclectic cast of characters, discover new paths, unlock hidden treasures and solve puzzles that blend 2D and 3D elements as you try to outwit the aliens and bring the flock back home.

Dodo Duckie is BornMonkie’s second project and the studio’s debut title on PC. The game, which draws heavily from genre classics like Paper Mario, Fez, and Gris, was already received well on social media and grew an affectionate community of fans. An XBOX version of Dodo Duckie is also currently in the works and is expected to launch by the end of 2026.

Speaking on the game approaching its final launch window on Steam, BornMonkie Co-founder and Game Producer Samveda said “On the surface Dodo Duckie is a puzzle adventure game. At its heart it’s a story about finding yourself and learning to waddle your own way”.
