The Setup

Setting up the Dell Pro Plus Earbuds EB525 has a simple process and to pair you simply open the lid and then connect them to your PC or smartphone via Bluetooth. There is also an app that allows you to be connected to both your PC and your phone to ensure the best possible multi‑audio setup thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity with a range of up to 30 metres. As a fun fact, you can pair up to 8-devices with these earbuds with 2 connected simultaneously.

I also found that the AI powered noise cancelling microphone did an impressive job of cutting out background chatter or office noise so your voice comes through clearly. They also include adaptive active noise cancellation for listening which reduces distractions in open offices or while travelling. Alongside ANC, they also support an ambient / transparency mode so you can hear your surroundings when needed that is perfect for online training. With that said, the integration with Microsoft Teams worked a treat with exceptional audio quality for both the microphone with talking and the audio received. Further,  the sound profile is tuned for clarity rather than heavy bass which makes voices crisp and easy to understand. Additionally, music and videos are good however not in the same realm as the more expensive consumer products from Bose or Sony. Nonetheless, the audio quality was decent.

The earbuds use Touch controls and like most devices they are a little sensitive and it will take you a few days or a week or so to master. Of course it’s all about comfort and the EB525 excels in this category. The earbuds are lightweight and come with multiple ear tip sizes to ensure a secure fit for long calls.

Battery life is also a strong point with up to eight hours of use with ANC enabled and more than thirty hours when combined with the charging case. The case itself is compact and supports fast charging through USB C so at the end of the day you can just connect them into your PC.

Final Thoughts?

The Dell Pro Plus Earbuds EB525 are perfect for office or hybrid workers who rely on Microsoft Teams or Zoom that integrate well into the Dell infrastructure. They boast excellent call clarity, strong noise reduction, plus a long battery life with enterprise grade certifications.
