Halloween Events in FINAL FANTASY XIV and Borderlands 4 Summon Seasonal Spooks
FINAL FANTASY XIV – All Saints’ Wake (17 October – 5 November)
The All Saints’ Wake returns to Eorzea, with plenty of pumpkins to boot. Players can speak to the Pumpkin-headed Apparition at Old Gridania (X:10.2 Y:9.4) to receive an invitation to the Haunted Mansion and begin the “Frights of Fancy” quest.
After completing the quest, players can freely explore the Haunted Manor and Sneaky Hollow for the duration of the event. Bring your friends and see who can claim ‘best-dressed’ in their costumes!
New event items include:
- Ambulario mount: A glowing pumpkin head mount that lights up the sky and rains sugary treats.
- Feastful All Saints’ Wake Advertisement: A wall-mounted poster that adds eerie flair to your home.
Borderlands 4 – Horrors of Kairos (23 October – 6 November)
Horrors of Kairos marks Borderlands 4’s first free, limited-time Seasonal mini-Event. During the event, world boss encounters become drenched in a sinister blood rain. Slaying world bosses gives players the chance to earn new loot.
New event loot includes:
- “Murmur” Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle: Executes weakened enemies with guaranteed crits on targets under 35% health
- “Skully” Legendary Order Grenade: This death-dealing grenade fires out projectiles as it seeks out the nearest target
Players can also redeem the “Gourd Your Loins” Vault Hunter (pumpkin) Head usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe, and a “Hex Appeal” Weapon Skin via SHiFT codes. Follow the Borderlands social channels to stay updated on SHiFT codes drops!
