FIRST NATION’S MUSIC ARTIST BARKAA BRINGS HER UNIQUE SOUND TO EA’S NEED FOR SPEED FRANCHISE

EA’s Need for Speed franchise is one of the biggest and most successful in the history of video games. From the high-suspense getaways of Hot Pursuit to the legendary soundtrack of Need For Speed Underground, music has always played an integral part of the Need for Speed experience. Now BARKAA brings her unique voice to the franchise.

BARKAA is a Malyangapa, Barkindji woman from Western New South Wales, now living in South West Sydney on Gandangara land. Music to BARKAA has been part of her journey to express herself, the truth and issues impacting First Nations people.

She recently won FBi’s 2020 SMAC Awards for the ‘Next Big Thing’ category and the 2020 PUMA Rookie Of The Year Award for Acclaim Magazine. She has also been listed as one of the Top 5 female rappers in Australia by ABC’s Triple J, one of 15 Sydney rappers ruling 2020 by Redbull and featured in GQ Magazine.
