Oz Comic-Con Brisbane and Sydney Unveil A Stellar Line-up Featuring The Very Best Of Pop Culture

It’s time to gear up and assemble your super squad for the ultimate pop culture event of the year. Oz Comic-Con returns to Brisbane and Sydney this September boasting a stellar line-up of celebrities, authors, illustrators, cosplayers and immersive activations from film studios and partners.

Take a stroll through the Comic District and meet some of the world’s best comic artists, rub shoulders with your favourite celebrities from film and television or take part in one of the many interactive panels and workshops moderated by industry professionals.

The action-packed celebration will feature exclusive opportunities including a sneak peek at upcoming film releases and merchandise that cannot be found anywhere else.

Comic District & Artist Alley:

A hub for every comic fan, the Comic District provides the opportunity to meet your favourite artists, chat with other fans, discuss your favourite titles, check out rare editions and learn more about the industry. Kings Comics offers an extensive range of comics and a giant comic cover for that perfect selfie.

Be sure to feast your eyes on a showcase of original and fan art in Artist Alley, including but not limited to: comic books, art prints, novels, jewellery, clothing and hardwares.

Cosplay:

With the cosplay community coming together, Oz Comic-Con plays host to the largest and most prestigious costume contest in Australia, ‘Quest for the Crown’, the first stop in a global competition leading to the 2020 C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay in Chicago.

Make a pit stop at Cosplay Central and visit event partners Spotlight and Brother, or take part in a range of cosplay parades, workshops and meetups.

Gaming Zone:

Battle it out against fellow competitors in console tournaments and free play opportunities. Head to the Gaming Zone, take a seat and play games you may not have had the chance to before or go on a nostalgia trip down memory lane.

And since gaming is far more than video games, head to the gaming area and pave your way to tabletop glory or destroy friendships in the UNO Tournament.

Panels and workshops:

Indulge the wealth of knowledge available at numerous stages including exclusive panels with film and television stars, discussions about the industry with comic artists and cosplayers and livesketching.

Learn how to make your own comic book or construct high quality cosplay, there are a range of workshops that will help improve your techniques and think critically.
