International Cricket Captain Ashes Year 2005

International Cricket Captain Ashes Year 2005 is the latest sports cricket management title from Xplosive Software that transforms the gamer into a professional cricket manager that allows them to perform a plethora of background activities in order to ensure that their cricket team is the ultimate world class cricket team.

Features:

  • Player Database: Comprehensive database featuring statistics for every first class cricketer.

  • The Match Screen: Play and watch individual matches.

  • Transfers & Team Selection: Improve your squad by offering contracts to experience or youth players. Who's in form and who's out?

  • Groundsman and Playing Conditions: Bounce, wear, weather and light; vary from fixture to fixture. Instruct your groundsman to prepare a pitch tailor made for your attack.

  • Coach and Physio: Book key players in for a session with the Coach or Physio.

  • Two Player: Captain any of the Test playing nations and compete against a friend in either a Test or one-day series.

The gameplay of International Cricket Captain is pure management and will have cricket enthusiasts drooling for more as this title takes a true inside look into the world of cricket. Not only can gamers transfer members of their team from various levels such as experience or inexperience but you can also purchase the best in order to ensure victory.

The control system of International Cricket Captain, although not as fully interactive as one would except from the current cricket games on the market, is generally menu driven but gamers still have a little say (playability wise) how the game is played.

A neat feature of this game is that players can reenact 1929 1948, 1953, 1981, 1986 and even the 2005 ashes year, match that with a full international calendar or test matches and one-day internationals and this game is as realistic as it comes, it even provides the World Cup for gamers with the West Indies tour of 2007.

Apart from world series crickets, there is also he full English domestic season, including country championships, national league challenges and 20 country cups. With that said, thais game could be played forever as each match is different, ensuring the longevity of this title.

Graphically, this title is unfortunately sometimes a little bland but from a management title, there are dozens of various graphical features to immerse the player into the world of cricket. As with the graphics, the sound is similar but remember that this title is aimed a Pentium 200Mhz, 32MB RAM with a DirectX compatible graphics card.

A great addictive title for the managers in all of us!
