Aura 2 the Sacred Rings

Aura 2 the Sacred Rings is a classic point and click adventure game which is oozing with old school grace, however features 21st century graphics in this extraordinary tale of good versus evil. The story of Aura 2 the Sacred Rings begins in ancient times where a mysterious clan of keepers guard a collection of ancient sacred rings that when united grant the wielder with infinite power and immortality.

Unfortunately for the clan of keepers, a rival clan has discovered this artifact and their nefarious leader Durad makes an attempt to procure this item for his evil ways. The clan decides to name Umang as their as their savior as he travels on a wondrous journey through portals unknown in an attempt to outwit Durad and his clan.

Features

  • Easy to navigate mouse-driven, point-and-click interface.

  • More than 25 inventive cerebral puzzles and challenges.

  • Three vast worlds to explore: No Man's Land, Manula Valley, and the Keeper's Land.

  • Proprietary engine blends together beautiful pre-rendered graphics and environmental interaction with immersive special effects.

  • More than 40 minutes of incredible cut-scenes.

  • More than 400 beautiful locations to fully-explore.

  • A fully realized cast of characters to interact with.

  • An astonishing musical score with 8 varied themes to compliment gameplay.

Needless to say, the story revolving around Aura 2 is fascinating and the developers do a great job at setting up the tale between these two dark forces with over 40 minutes of cutscenes, you will soon become lost in this amazing universe as you become the star of this epic game.

What really pushes the story of Aura 2 along are the detailed characters that your player interacts with who have really been fleshed out to assist the gamer immerse into the variety of different areas that your characters will interact with in an attempt to solve a wide gamut of puzzles.

The gameplay is reminiscent of those old point and click games, once made famous by Sierra that are now unfortunately a thing of the past. Apart from finding a variety of items and using them with the gaming environment, the gamer must also solve a plethora of puzzles that range from easy to difficult in an attempt to save the known world from the threat of Durad.

Unlike traditional click and point games, Aura 2 is a non-linear story and depending on your choices, it will affect certain aspects of the title so you are easily guaranteed at least one more play after you have finished this game. The successful gamer should be able to finish this title in around 20 or so hours, given their experience in adventure type games.

Graphically, Aura 2 is a visual treat that successfully combines pre-generated cutscenes with in-game graphics and match that with a variety of gorgeously created special effects and its easily to get lost in this title.

The developers have also recreated various aspects of this mythical world and every facet is different which allows the gamer to explore for hours upon hours. Match this with a beautifully orchestral sounding musical score and a variety of sound effects, one cannot help but get the feeling of a blockbuster movie made right. Superb!

In conclusion Aura 2 the Sacred Rings is an engaging title that returns gaming to yesteryear with a 21st century twist in the ways of a beautifully detailed gaming engine and a first classic soundtrack. My only grip with Aura 2 is that some of the puzzles were a little difficult to solve that will test your logic and probably your patience. Check it out!
