Logitech Ultimate Ears 9000

Welcome to the future of wireless headphones with the Logitech Ultimate Ears 9000 that has been specifically made for Apple products such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad. However the headphones will work with all good Bluetooth devices. Boasting Bluetooth connectivity, the Ultimate Ears 9000 (UE 9000) not only produces extremely clear sound but even has noise cancellation technologies, giving users of Smart Devices a truly enhanced audio experience.

The first thing you notice about the UE 9000 is the build quality of this product. With a stylish design, these wireless headphones would not look out of place anywhere. Whether lounging on the couch, working in an office or anywhere, Logitech should be commended on the design and build quality. The UE 9000 also comes with a sturdy case to secure your headphones when not in use.

Another highlight of the product is the memory foam cushions that creates an extremely comfortable fit and whether you are having a long session of music listening or playing the latest iPad game, there was not once where I found the headphones uncomfortable to use. Even the headband is padded.

The layout of the controls have been evenly spread on both the outer ear cups with volume, navigation and the Bluetooth switches on the right and the mute button on the left. By splitting the controls, it makes accessing them easy and I loved how the mute button was on the left which ensures easy muting if necessary.

Pairing the device to a Bluetooth device is quite simple and you just enable Bluetooth on the headphones and then pair it with your intended product. If you don't want to use Bluetooth, you can use the audio cable to connect to your audio product. When the headphones are connected to your Bluetooth device, you will head a sound indicating that the connection has been successful.

In terms of charging, the UE 9000's can be charged in two ways. Either through the supplied USB charging cable or with the AC adapter which takes around 2 1/2 hours to charge that gives about 10 hours of use. Even if you lose Bluetooth, you can still use the headphones via the included audio cable to continue listening to music, although noise cancellation will be deactivated as it requires power.

Considering the price of the UE 9000's, audio quality is quite impressive. There are great levels and good use of bass. The noise cancellation technologies works quite well and does filter out ambient noise. It basically dulls the background noise that allows you to get lost in your music or audio.

I tested this product on my iPhone 4 that produced exceptional sound quality. I also like the fact that you can use the controls on the headphones to navigate your music instead of using your audio device. As it is Bluetooth technology, the UE 9000's work up to 10metres away from the primary audio source. Also, compared to wired or wireless (Bluetooth), both formats produced similar sound quality.

Final Thoughts?

The Logitech Ultimate Ears 9000 is a high quality and relatively affordable option for users who want a decent wireless headphone. With great audio quality, impressive features and some good noise cancellation, the Ultimate  Ears 9000 not only look good but give the end-user a great audio experience and with Christmas just around the corner, what a perfect gift!
