The Gathering

This entertaining horror thriller stars Christina Ricci as a American back packer travelling through the United Kingdom, only to be hit by a car and as a result, she suffers from amnesia. Thankfully for this "lost soul", she is taken in by the mother of a family who was responsible for hitting her and from there, the strangeness begins.

We soon learn that a mysterious church has been uncovered in the country side that has the strange mystery of a cross being not the centre piece of the church but hidden near the rear where strange spectators watch the crucifixion of Christ.

As the movie progresses, it becomes apparent that these "spectators" are within this town and only appear to watch those destined to die. Although the story at times is sometimes predictable, the story twist truly makes this an interesting horror thriller as a heroine with no memory attempts to save the children of her care from a violent and sickening death.

Unfortunately as this movie was a promotional version, the audio and video quality cannot be reviewed. Needless to say, I enjoyed this movie thoroughly from start to finish!
