Claymore 01

Claymore is based on the Manga novel by Norihiro Yahi which has been turned into a TV series with volume one just being released in Australia. The premise behind the series is a battle between the flesh eating Yoma and the savours of humanity, the Claymores or the silver-eyed witches who are hybrids of both species.

The main character in Claymore is Clare who has a shrouded past of torture, misery and violence, however when she rescues a boy named Raki, her life is then given meaning.

This DVD introduces the viewer to this dark and mystical universethat features an almost period set gothic action series as we join Clare on her journey to destroy the Yoma.

The series starts with a bang and thankfully it continues and when it ends, you'll e rushing out to buy Claymore 02. With some brilliant characterisation from both the Claymores, the humans and the nefarious Yoma, what makes this series so engaging, apart from the seriously kick ass storyline is the brilliant animation and equally impressive soundtrack that really sets the mood of things to come.

Brilliant from start to finish!
