Captivity revolves around Jennifer Tree, played by the talented and gorgeous Elisha Cuthbert, a model who is almost held ransom to her high flying lifestyle. One night Jennifer is drugged and taken away, only to find herself in a stone cell, given a list of tasks that she must perform.

If she fails to perform these tasks, she will be punished. Eventually she learns that there is another prisoner in this web, a young man named Gary (Daniel Gilles) who apparently is in the same situation as her.

Together, they device a plan to escape their captor in this classic horror/thriller movie. Although the film may hold parallels to similar movies, the creators have added a few twists into the movie and is quite claustrophobic at times.

Although not the most memorable movie of the year, for those that enjoy this genre will thoroughly enjoy this movie by Roland Joffe and will leave you on the edge of your seat.
