The latest season of Battlestar
Galactica has blasted its way onto DVD that is a remake of the
original 1970's cult science fiction classic which takes the
original characters and changes them to suit the 21st century
viewing audience's science fiction appetite.
This current season
is probably the most dramatic and thrilling to date that
features controversial topics such as suicide bombers and
psychological abuse that have been on the news at the moment
with the war in Iraq.
The current series resumes from the
previous seasons cliff hanger episode where the stranded
Colonialists struggle to survive under their Cylon rule on New
Caprica. A resistance has been formed on New Caprica where Tigh
and Anders attempt to free the Cylons of their rule as they use
violence against their captors.
Admiral Adama continues his
search for Earth while facing a plethora of personal
problems which makes this series the perfect meld of science
fiction, drama and space battles which is easily one of the best
science fiction series on television at the moment. Definitely
one for the fanboy ... or girl!
