After breaking his back in three places in a parachuting accident, doctors doubted Grylls would walk again. He fought his way to recovery, and two years later entered the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest, aged only 23. He has since led ground-breaking expeditions across the world. Grylls’ story of progressing from a broken back in hospital to the summit of the world’s highest mountain is one that touches people globally.
During the two hour live show the charming and inspirational Grylls will share his experiences of survival in some of the world’s toughest environments, in conversation with one of his greatest fans, comedian and broadcaster Merrick Watts. Audiences will also see extraordinary footage of the great adventurer climbing Everest, plunging into the Irish Sea and surviving the toughest locations on earth, as well as some of his more bizarre exploits.
