Singstar Pop

One of the first things that you will notice about this title is that it’s easy to set up and get into. For those of us that have played the other titles, you will be able to get straight in and sing your heart out.

For those not in the know, Singstar Pop is a karaoke game that is a heap of fun to play. You have two versions of the title that you can sink your teeth into, the first being the full retail version that comes with the two mics that you will need to battle it out and the other is just the game itself.

The cool thing about the game is that not only do you get to sing the songs by yourself and your friends, you also get to see the original music video as well during your song! The video appears on screen along with your traditional karaoke interface, telling you the words to the song and when to sing them.

The tracklisting on the title is a lot of fun as well with folks being more than happy with the listing that is there. Here are a list of the artists and songs that are on this release:

Annie
Heartbeat
Ashlee Simpson
Pieces Of Me
Avril Lavigne

The Hives Main Offender

Personally I was absolutely stoked to hear Eric B & Rakim’s Paid in Full on this release which could easily be argued as one of the finest rap albums ever made. I could spend the rest of this review talking about that album and just might for that matter. Nah I won’t really.

As usual you can “cheat the game” by humming along in time with the music, the title isn’t too judgemental if you really suck which will suit everyone just fine after a few beers! As per Singstar Party the single player career is no longer part of the game, however it is not an element that is really missed that much.

I think that punters are going to get a kick out of this game. The videos are good quality, the songs are apt and fun to sing and the fact that you can have a sing off is always excellent. The audio as would be expected is fantastic quality and should really motivate the singing action!

If you haven’t tried the Singstar series before, you are safe to start with any of them. They are a ton of fun and well worth the purchase of regardless of what version you choose.

Boyoshucka!
