Rampage Total Destruction

Do you all remember the Rampage series? I certainly do having played it back in the day when you actually had to put money into an arcade machine in order to enjoy it. Well this is a new version of the popular title and this time it takes us into the 3D world for another spin on a much loved classic.

The move to 3D has not really changed the gameplay much and truth be told it’s almost a simulacrum of 3D as even though there are sometimes two sets of buildings, so your monsters can go behind the first set of buildings but not move to the middle of a building and do damage there. It’s not really that big a deal, but is a little bit odd when you think you are dealing with a fully 3D title.

So you love monsters? Then Rampage Total Destruction has a massive selection of old favourites, plus a ton of new ones as well. 27 new beasts in addition to Lizzie, George and Ralph with a swag of new moves as well in order to maximize the amount of damage that you do to all the buildings, vehicles, tanks and helicopters who are in your way.

The new look is great and the whole feeling of the gameplay has been given a good amount of polish. At it’s core, the game is exactly that same as it used to be, but really, if it ain’t broke, then what the heck are you trying to fix? Total Destruction offers support for two players to wreak mayhem at the same time with a variety of game modes to keep everything nice and tasty.

Add to the great gameplay experience is the fact that when you have had enough of the new game, then you can get back in and play the original two Rampage titles for some old school brilliance. I had forgotten how much I’d loved this game and was more than happy to go the hack on it one more time.

You guys really need to check out this game, it’s so easy to get into and the title is priced at a budget level so you don’t have to thrown down a lot of clams in order to be enjoying this game in short order. Go get some building smashing fun right now!
