Nickelodeon Toon Twister 3-D

Kids will also appreciate that fact that the game contains many of the characters from the Nickelodeon universe which include SpongeBob SquarePants, Jimmy Neutron-Boy Genius, the Rugrats and The Fairly OddParents to name a few of the greats that grace this title.

The installation of Nickelodeon Toon Twister 3-D was a breeze and it simple auto-installed when the CD was detected by the computer and a few minutes later, we were ready to make our very Nickelodeon cartoons. The interface of Toon Twister 3-D is extremely easy to use and children around of all ages will have no problem in mastering this software package.

To simply create your own cartoon, all you need to do is pick the backgrounds, characters and sound effects that is only limited by your imagination, so hours of fun is guaranteed for your children. The title is basically divided into three different categories that includes a prep, direct and edit page.

The prep page or preparation page basically lets you select what characters, backgrounds and props you need for your Nickelodeon animation. This is also the section where you add timing and actions to your characters. The interface is really a WYSIWYG interface that is just a point and a click.

The direct page or director's page lets you animate each character via a timeline and also allows the child to add sounds and voices, even their own sounds and voices. Younger children may find this section a little confusing but with parental assistance, they will have a blast. Finally the edit page which basically puts on the finishing touches on your cartoon such as titles and credits to give it that real professional finish.

Graphically, Nickelodeon Toon Twister 3-D is a visual treat on the PC and looks almost identical to the cartoon series and with such low computer specs, this game is guaranteed to run on most computers. The sound effects and voices have also been professional taken from the cartoon shows but it would of been nice to have a small microphone included so that children could easily record their own voices straight out of the box. However for the price, you can't really complain!

In conclusion, Nickelodeon Toon Twister 3-D is a perfect program to keep children busy on hours upon hours that is not only entertaining but also educational. Great work by Scholastic!
