Tell us a bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in
Bellingham WA. I started acting and dancing when i
was only 4 years old, and haven't stopped since!!
Present day, I am trained and highly experienced in
Ballet, Tap, Jazz (funk and lyrical), Hip-Hop, Salsa
and Go-Go. Growing up, and all through high school,
I was very active in dance, gymnastics, drama,
theater, cheerleading, and drill team. I started
college courses in high school with a program called
Running Start which allowed me to complete a year of
college by the time I graduated from high school. I
was selected for a scholarship program to be a youth
ambassador for the Pacific Northwest to attended the
Tokyo Joshi School Of Japan, and live with a family
in Kawasaki. This was amazing!!! After the program
ended I returned to Bellingham, WA where I finished
up my AAS in Broadcasting Communications. Still
acting and dancing, I decided to major in Dance and
minor in Theatre for my BA, so I transferred to UNLV
(Las Vegas, NV). I started modeling in college at
the same time, as well as Go-Go danced, acted,
taught dance, and choreographed. After college I
moved to Berkeley, CA where I continued to model,
act, dance, and choreograph. About a year and a
half ago I relocated to Los Angeles, CA to continue
my acting, modeling, and dance/choreography career.
Since being in L.A. I have done a number of films
(both features and shorts) along with 3 television
shows, 3 pilots, 3 commercials, 2 music videos, and
helped create, film, act in, and produce a
web-series on YouTube. I have been cast in 2
upcoming features, filming next year, and I am also
signed to choreograph and star in a mini-series of
music videos and commercials being shot world wide
beginning of next year for DZW Productions.
What made you get into
modeling?
I got into modeling when I was in
college. It started with a promotional modeling
job and then skyrocketed from there. One promo job
led to 5 and those led to fashion shows, print work,
advertisements, shows and much much more.
What do you enjoy about
modeling?
I enjoy modeling for many
reasons. You are creating art with your self,
helping to transform ordinary into beautiful.
Modeling is a form of expression,
it gives you a voice and allows you to be a positive
voice for many. One of my favorite types of
modeling is Pin-UP, because it is the perfect mix of
acting and modeling. It ties in facial expressions
with modeling and creates a story. When you are
modeling pin-up, you are telling a story.
What about nude modeling?
As long as it's done in a
tasteful manner, I am all for it. Let the focus not
be on the nudity itself, but more so the human body.
When you are able to create beauty with the raw
human form, you are becoming the canvas and the art
at the same time. To me, that is something quite
beautiful. If it is done in a positive light it
shows that we are all our own art piece and there is
something beautiful about each one of us.
The common misconception that
models are stuck up or standoffish. I think the
personality group that models are put into, is in
the most part untrue. I am not stuck up, I am not
full of myself, I am not better than the person next
to me, or anyone for that matter. When I was a
young girl I wanted to be a model but was told that
wasn't ever going to happen. I worked very hard to
be able to make a successful career out of modeling
and I am very grateful for it all. I would hope if
anything I can teach that little boy or girl who
wants to be a model that if you work hard then your
dreams can come true, and you can do anything you
put your mind to (ignore the fact that it's a bit
cliche). I want to inspire people with positivity
and hope...not berate anyone for their path in life.
I find people and life fascinating, exciting and
adventurous; having a conversation with a stranger
can teach you more than you would think.
Do you have any tattoos? If
so where and what of?
YES...no recent tattoos...I got
all of mine within about 4 years of each other, and
that was almost 8 years ago.
I have stars tattooed on the top
of my right foot.
I have the Kanji for "Passion"
and "Dance" (2 very important things to me) on my
left shoulder blade.
I have a Scorpion holding ballet
shoes on my front right hip (I'm a Scorpio and I
have been doing ballet since I was 4 years old)
I have my own design of a yin
yang on my lower back (mine is half sun, half moon)
sandwiched between a snowflake and a star on each
side.
**This is going to sound so
cheesy but it's the honest truth** My best
asset, I would have to say, is my personality.
I have a great sense of humor and love to
laugh...I am pretty chill and laid back and I
really believe as you get older, the person you
are on the inside starts to show on the outside.
You cannot be beautiful on the outside without
inner beauty.
I am a people pleaser, I
really don't know how to say no if it's
going to disappoint someone...sometimes I
over commit myself to people and things
because I just don't want to let them down,
and that can get me in trouble.
What are three
technological things you cannot live
without?
How do you relax?
I love massages!!!! The best
recipe for relaxation though is a dance class
followed by a massage...or even visa versa.
It's the combination of the 2 that really put
me in the best relaxed mood ever!
Top three things
that annoy you?
2. Lack of manners
(especially at a restaurant..."Please" and
"Thank You" are crucial to one's
vocabulary!!!
3. Negativity (It always
annoys me when people jump to the negative
side of things instead of the positive).
Top three things
that make you happy?
3. Snowboarding
What is your
favourite video game?
Pokémon Gold
If you could go
back in time and visit yourself at age
10, what would you say?
Visiting myself at age 10
I would say: "Nothing at age 10 really
matters, be a kid and have fun because LIFE
IS FUN! Of course don't forget to be loud
and expressive, don't be afraid to ask
questions, and ALWAYS tell people how much
you love them and how much they matter to
you."
On the other hand,
if you could go into the future and
visit yourself 80, what would you ask?
Future me at age 80, I
would have to ask one crucial question:
"What's left on your bucket list?"
Married, relationship
or Single?
In a relationship
What do you look
for in a guy?
Sense of humor, kind
eyes, nice smile, no weird smells (including
breath) and an overall good person.
What is your
favorite movie?
A little bit country, a
little bit rock and roll :)
Platypus (I'm not joking)
Your motto for life?
Everything happens for a
reason.
Do you have a fan
site like twitter, myspace or facebook?
Hopefully more modeling,
more acting and more dancing :)
Ten words or less
for your fans?
Grateful for the support,
it makes it all worth it!
Lastly, any scoops
for our readers?
I guess just to
keep a look out for more of me and my
modeling, acting and dancing. I have no
plans on stopping anytime soon and doing
this with positive recognition is
amazing!!!
