Tell us a bit about yourself
I wear many hats. I mostly known for my modeling career, but
I'm also a writer. In an attempt to help out all the
aspiring models out there and bust a few industry myths,
I've recently written and self-published the informative
book: The Self-Made Model_Success Without Agencies. Lastly
and most importantly, I'm also the mommy of the world's
cutest and smartest 7 year old boy.
What made you get into modeling?
I had no desire or money for college and wanted to travel
far outside of the lower/middle class area I was raised in.
What do you enjoy about modeling?
Traveling the world helping to bring to life the
ideas/concepts of clients/photographers and artists.
What about nude modeling?
The female body is beautiful and has been appreciated
artistically for centuries, it's amazing to me that there is
even still a stigma against creating such art. When it comes
to the sexier style of nude shooting, such as glamour nudes,
I can somewhat see why certain folks get offended….but in
the end we're all humans and like it or not, sexuality is a
huge part of human nature. This is why there is such obvious
truth to the saying "sex sells in advertising". What bothers
me is how some self-proclaimed feminists will accuse models
of "degrading women" because they show some skin. This view
just comes off as chauvinistic to me. A true feminist will
realize that we all should be proud of how far we've come
since the days when flashing a bit of ankle skin would brand
us all trollops.
Worst part of modeling?
Being away from my family for several days at a time is
tough. The road is a lonely place for a girl
Do you have any tattoos? If so where and what of?
Body modifications are not my thing. Hell, I don't even have
my ear's pierced!
What's your best asset?
I think my work ethic and perfectionist streak are almost
entirely responsible for my success as a model. I get that
I'm not the ugliest thing walking around out here but if it
weren't for my drive and desire to succeed, I'd be a failure
in this industry.
Although being a perfectionist is a great asset as mentioned
above, it can also drive a person to insanity! Half the
time, I feel like I'm losing my mind trying to do my
absolute best work but I can't let myself settle for less.
It's a vicious personality trait.
What are three technological things you cannot live without?
My iphone (hate talking on the phone but I desperately need
google maps at my disposal nearly every time I get behind
the wheel.) My Mac, and that's pretty much it. Although I
should probably count at least one of my son's several game
consoles. I'd never hear the end of it if he didn't have his
How do you relax?
Hit the spa with the Ladies for a Deep Tissue Massage, or
we'll just stay in and give massages to each-other to save
Top three things that annoy you?
Ignorance, when people cough/sneeze without covering their
mouth/nose and I absolutely hate being cold.
Top three things that make you happy?
Massages, being with friends/family and accomplishing my
What is your favorite video game?
I'm from the old school, I grew up with the ancient version
of mario brothers….you know, the one that came with Duck
Hunt? So I still have a fondness for anything Mario Bros
related, mainly Mario Cart
If you could go back in time and visit yourself at age 10,
what would you say?
I'd take my younger self to the bank and put $10,000 in an
IRA and make her promise to invest it all in apple stock
when she turns 18
On the other hand, if you could go into the future and visit
yourself 80, what would you ask?
What are the biggest regrets I have?
Married or Single?
What do you look for in a guy?
If I was single, I'd look for someone who gives me breathing
room ( I hate being suffocated), he must love kids but not
spoil them, and he has to be able to make me laugh.
What is your favorite movie?
I don't play favorites, but I suppose anything set in Paris.
This depends greatly on my mood.
Guess if I had to choose I'd say Nutella. I go through about
a jar a week!
This changes all the time, right now I'm really into
Favorite TV Show?
Too many to choose! If it's funny I love it
I like monkeys, they're playful, and adorable.
Your motto for life?
Anything you want can be yours if you just put in the effort
to get it.
Do you have a fan site like twitter, myspace or facebook?
What does the future hold for you?
I'm working on the follow-up to my book The Self-Made
Model_Success Without Agencies. The second book will cover
more advanced business topics with an emphasis on the
