Tell us a bit
about yourself: Well I am 21 years old, born August 31st 1991.
I just recently graduated from college from a cosmetology program and I
received high honours and won first place for my portfolio. I also model
full time. I started at 19, at Gods Girls, then from there I modelled
for Magazines like Front Army, and now I am a free lance model, doing
mostly lingerie and fashion. I did start with nude modelling though, but
I've decided to take my modelling in a different directions for personal
What made you
get into modelling? There were two specific people that made
me get into modelling. The first one was my best friend, Livi
Shaw. She was in the photography program at my college, and she
always needed people to photograph for projects, so she would
always use me. I started to enjoy it more and more, and decided
that if I'm good at it, why not do more of it for different
photographers? Haha and the second person was my tattoo artist
Jay, from Chronic Tattoos in the Niagara region. He suggested
Gods Girls to me, and I always kept it in the back of my mind.
If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have started there.
What do you
enjoy about modeling? I love creating art. I think that's my
greatest joy of modelling. Through hours of traveling,
modelling, photographing, editing, etc, at the end, there is
always something beautiful to look at and I really like that. I
grew up in a household full of artists. I really appreciate art
and understand the hours it takes to get there. I also do love
meeting new people from it too. I have met some great friends
from all over the world from modeling.
What about nude
modeling? I liked nude modelling because it felt freeing.
There was nothing to hide me. When I took my own photos I was
able to feel sexy and beautiful. When I was with other
photographers, I felt vulnerable. There were two different sides
to it, and that's what I liked about it.
Worst part of
modeling? The worst part of modelling is the initial stage
of meeting new photographers and praying that they aren't
creeps. I've had one really bad experience and it rattled me to
the bone. I always make sure that I have an emergency escape
now. You live and you learn.
Do you have any
tattoos? If so where and what of? I have 4 tattoos. I have 2
on my back; a phoenix and script that says “Oh how wrong we were
to think that immortality meant never dying”. I have a cat on my
right ankle, and the Virgo sign on my right arm. I will be
getting more within the new year, and I'm really excited!
What's your best
asset? On my body? My lips
won't tell ! ;)
What are three
technological things you cannot live without? iPhone,
Macbook and my pink Nintendo Dsi.
How do you
relax? I've started meditation and Tai Chi. I find those
really help. I also love relaxing in a bubble bath with
champagne and a good book.
Top three things
that annoy you? Conservatives, when my phone dies and there
are no chargers around, and people who are always late.
Top three things
that make you happy? Listening to the rain fall, having a
girls night in with my best girlfriends, and travelling.
What is your
favourite video game? Assassins Creed, hands down!
If you could go
back in time and visit yourself at age 10, what would you say?
“Don't let them get to you.”
On the other
hand, if you could go into the future and visit yourself at age
80, what would you ask? I would ask if I ever got over it.
relationship or Single? Single and ready to mingle haha
What do you look
for in a guy? I think every girl says this.. but a good
personality and someone who can make me laugh. Someone who is
kind to me, respects me, and will listen to what I have to say.
Someone who likes me for who I am and I obviously have to find
them physically attractive too ... which helps if they have a
top notch personality.
What is your
favorite movie? Forrest Gump
I don't have a favourite genre, but right now I'm really
into Lana Del Rey.
Italian! I can't pick a specific meal though. There's too
many delicious things :)
Colour? A dusty pink. I'm not sure if it has a specific name
Show? Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Your motto for
life? I said this somewhere else but it still rings true “Happiness
is hard to obtain. So make sure you not only appreciate the big
things in life, but also the little things, even if it’s just as
simple as the soothing sound of the rain hitting your roof.. and
then be thankful you have a roof over your head.” I think it's
important to be thankful and honest in life.
Do you have a
fan site like twitter, tumblr or facebook? I have all three
What does the
future hold for you? As of now, I'm not sure, but I'm really
hoping it involves friends, travelling and money. I want to
travel over to England next year to shoot with more
photographers and possibly live down there for a bit. I also
want to start getting involved more with movies/ shows/ music
videos. I've also started a makeup/fashion blog, so who knows
where that will go!
Ten words or
less for your fans? Thank you very very very very very very
scoops for our readers? I'm bringing out a 2013 calendar! So
look out for that within the next couple weeks. I'm really
excited for it. It features all my favourite photographs and an
illustration of me. I made it to help give exposure to those who
are just starting out in the field.
