Creative Fata1ty Gaming Headset

Creative's latest edition to the world of gamers has finally arrived with their latest innovative design in the "Creative Fata1ty Gaming Headset" which promises gamers one of the most enjoyable audio experiences on the PC. The first thing you will notice with the Creative Fata1ty Gaming Headset, apart from its sleek modern look is how comfortable the headphones actually are.

A variety of people in our office tested the headset and no one complained about the comfort and with minimal adjustments, we were ready to go. The unit also has a great padded headpiece which allows for increased gaming sessions without any discomfort to your scalp.

Features

  • CommandSound - Get precise audio positioning with large 40mm drivers powered by strong Neodymium magnets.

  • ComfortGear - Battle for hours in total comfort thanks to plush velvet ear pads and generous head padding

  • BattleTalk - Issue orders using the high-quality, detachable nose-cancelling microphone

We tested the headphones with a variety of online games and DVD movies and the quality was quite acceptable for the price of the headphones which did block out a little of the background noise.

Another nifty feature of the headset is that the microphone boom is actually detachable from the headphones which allows for a flawless listening experience. We did notice one slight issue with the microphone as the levels were rather low and it did take some fiddling to adjust them to the right level. However, our friends on Battlefield 1942 could hear us quite well when it came down to the crunch.

The audio quality with music was also on par with the games and DVD's that offered a smooth almost static-free listening experience.

While gaming, the headphones also come with an in-line volume adjuster, which is ideal for adjusting the volume while gaming as you don't have to fiddle with the headset or the volume on your computer.

In conclusion, the Creative Fata1ty Gaming Headset is definitely a decent buy and gives above-average quality to similar priced headphones on the market at the moment. Definitely worth testing if you're in the market for headphones.
