The next installment of one of comicdoms most famous super hero team, The Avengers flies its way onto DVD entitled "Ultimate Avengers 2 - Rise of the Panther" which sees the heroes enter the mysterious country of Wakanda.

As the old king of Wakanda dies from a mysterious alien entity, his son takes on the mantle of the Black Panther and vows revenge on his father's killer. Unfortunately for the Black Panther, a greater threat is at hand which threatens to engulf the entire planet.

The Avengers are called... Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Giant Man, Wasp and the unpredictable Incredible Hulk once again join forces but if they cannot overcome their differences, our planet is doomed. It's classic comic book storytelling and although not as impressive as the original title, fans of the comic will enjoy this title from start to finish.

My favorite part of the Ultimate Avengers 2 - Rise of the Panther was "The Ultimate Gag Reel" which was easily worth admission alone. Presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 with 16:9 widescreen, the animation is a little rough but hopefully Liongate Studios animation department will improve as they continue to release Marvel comic book characters.
