To the ends of the Earth

Based on the mesmerising trilogy of novels by Nobel Prize winning author William Golding which originally screened as a three part mini-series on the ABC and follows a hero called Edmund Talbot (Benedict Cumberbatch) who is making the dangerous sea journey from England to Australia.

With relationships strained on this perilous journey, Talbot makes enemies, lovers and forms uneasily alliances with others. The series heavily revolves around how life might have been during these dangerous voyagers from England to Australia and thanks to the masterfully created sets, one becomes easily drawn into this gripping drama series of intrigue, romance and violence.

There are some great acting performances by Benedict Cumberbatch and Sam Neil, as an aristocrat  trouble maker, the BBC have also done a wonderful job at recreating the sets and realism which almost make this movie look like a Hollywood blockbuster. 267 minutes is not long enough!
