Thomas the Tank Engine: Rescue on Rails
Let’s
face it. Thomas The Tank Engine isn’t going to be a television
series for adults no matter what way you look at it. However, little
boys up to the age of eight, always adore Thomas and his friends. All
little boys love trains, and Thomas The Tank Engine gives their
much loved locomotives a personality and human like qualities.
Thomas The Tank Engine: Rescue On Rails contains six episodes of
approximately 10 minutes each which are:-
Edward
The Hero
James
To The Rescue
Stop
That Bus
Fiery
Flynn
Emily
and Dash
Up Up
and Away!
As the
title of the DVD suggests, each of these episodes has something to do
with a rescue of sorts. Not every rescue or happening in each episode
results in each train who tries to be the hero ending up being so, which
is actually a great lesson for young children to learn. You don’t have
to always be the hero, but trying your best is what counts and just
trying to help someone is enough, whether you can help them or not.
These don’t sound like very complex ideas, but as said before, Thomas
The Tank Engine is a show for young children and these lessons
suddenly seem a lot more attractive when told by some of their favourite
characters.
Thomas The Tank Engine has come a long way since it first came to
our screens in 1970. The graphics are a lot more attractive and
realistic and have been updated to fit in with today’s children’s TV.
There are new characters which are all interesting and have their own
personalities, which children enjoy getting to know. Thomas The Tank
Engine: Rescue On Rails is a very simple and short DVD, but little
boys will still love.
