Superman Doomsday

The world of comics is now a staple of modern society which is thoroughly integrated into pop culture and when Superman gets married in the world of comics or gets killed by an interstellar alien, it makes the headlines across the world.

Created by the legendary Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in the 1930's, Superman is probably one of the most popular superheroes of all time and from the mind of Bruce Timm comes Superman Doomsday which gives mainstream viewers the chance of experiencing the death of Superman.

Loosely based on the comic, directors Lauren Montgomery, Brandon Vietti and Bruce Timm makes this animated movie quite accessible to all people as it draws you into the current world of Superman from Lex Luthor's hatred towards the man of steel to the romance between Lois Lane and Clark "Superman" Kent.

As Doomsday is unwittingly released on Earth by Lex Luthor, Superman makes the ultimate sacrifice as the world watches. Without spoiling the DVD, Superman does return and this journey is what it's all about which stars Adam Baldwin as the Man of Steel, Anne Heche as Lois Lane and the talented James Marsters as Lex Luthor. As this was made for DVD, the video and audio quality is quite exceptional as is the animation of this feature length movie that all people can enjoy.

Brilliant for both comic fans and non comics fans!
