Rogue

Shock director Greg Mclean (Wolf Creek) once again lends his talents to a different "horror" movie about rogue crocodile in northern Australia that targets a group of stranded tourists.

Aptly entitled "Rogue", this movie follows the standard tale of giant creature gone "bad" which features clichéd characters to match a clichéd story.

The story starts on an isolated river stretch where the captain (Radha Mitchell) of a tourist boat goes to investigate a flare, unbeknown to those aboard, a giant crocodile lurks underwater as it lures the victims into his nest and plays a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Michael Vartan (Alias) plays the all round American hero (tourist) who comes to the rescue as the body count rises. Even though the story is clichéd, the special effects compliment the story that turns this into an entertaining tale of man versus beast.

Definitely one for those who want a shock!
