Pulp Fiction 10th Anniversary 2 Disc Collectors Edition

Bow! Bow bana-na-now, bana-na-now! I am stoked beyond words to see this flick make it’s way onto a 2 disc collectors edition, and the 10th anniversary is as good a time as any for this to happen. It was like welcoming a group of best friends back home after an extended period of leave.

For those of you who really and truly are just pretending to like movies, Quentin Tarantino directed this awesome crime flick with a twist that revolutionized the way that we all saw movies and really put the wind up a lot of critics with his over the top depiction and absolutely razor sharp dialogue.

Pulp Fiction also brought back the careers of John Travolta, Uma Thurman to name but a few. Not to say that they were not still exceptional (well Travolta had fallen off the radar) but PF really brought the best out of these characters and was also a good vehicle for us to know some actors that we might not have been exposed to otherwise.

This 2 disc set revisits Pulp Fiction and for those among us who cannot get enough, provides a second disc with a lot more of Tarantino for your dollar. There are a lot of interviews (not just small tidbits either like you’d normally get when something is just slapped together, these are substantial interviews).

Another really cool thing about this release is that there are deleted scenes included on the second disc with a Tarantino introduction. This is truly the release that should have come out the first time the disc released and a audio commentary from all the stars would have made the extras a perfect 10!

I won’t go through the storyline of the movie here as the assumption is being made that if you are getting the collector’s edition of the disc that you know the story. I will say that this disc is a must purchase. You really have no reason to not own it.

Congrats to Roadshow for a wonderful release that is sure to keep all the punters happy. If you need an introduction to Tarantino, this is the disc to do it, even though Reservoir Dogs was first and certainly deserves as much credit (see our review).

It’s simple: Buy this disc now or win a copy in the competition currently on the site!
