P.S. I Love You

Sometimes you have to live life one letter at a time

"P.S. I Love You" is the predictable romantic drama/comedy by director Richard LaGravenese which stars the beautiful and talented Hilary Swank and debonair Gerard Butler. Based on the novel by Cecilia Ahern, this tale revolves around a young widow who discovers that her late husband has left her ten letters to assist with her mourning and to help her move on with her life.

P.S. I Love You also contains some great supporting cast led by Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon, James Marsters, Kathy Bates and Harry Connick Jr to assist Swank and Butler in their roles. Hilary Swank plays Holly who after the death of her husband, keeps hidden away in her apartment, believing that Gerry (Gerard Butler) is still there with her and when Holly's friends and relatives start to intervene, things go from bad to worse.

As Holly is taken down memory lane and makes a few huge mistakes in the present, the movie is sad, entertaining and sometimes scoff able as we witness our starlet move on with her live. Harry Connick Jr does save the movie with his delightful character that adds humour into this touchy subject. An entertaining movie that may be the perfect movie for that cold Saturday night in.
