Midori Days V2: Wrong Hand Man

I’ve  got a conundrum! You know why? We’re reviewing this title from Volume 2 as Madman didn’t send us the first in the series, so if the review is a bit disjointed then you know why as we really don’t have any feel for the characters etc. This is not to complain, just to explain why the write up seems half baked.

One of the first things that you should know is that this is one of the more hardcore animes that I’ve seen in some time that will please Otakus no end but might leave the casual viewer a bit cold.

From what we can tell in this release, all the chicks want Seiji and naturally he is pleased. There is a catch though, Midori is on his right hand and over the course of the show, Seiji ends up on Midori’s right hand in a hilarious dream sequence where all the sequences are mixed around to some really funny circumstances.

Add to the craziness is the young Shiori who is trying to live with Seiji when she mistakenly thinks her step mother is taking her father away from her which is certainly not the case.

It’s crazy you know but it was like running a race watching this release without the experience of the first one. The video and audio quality is good on the title and I do recommend listening to the Japanese audio version and dealing with subtitles for the best experience.

It was intriguing enough that I could watch the next one and even the first one just to work out what was going on! There is an audio drama as an extra on the disc.
