Looking for Richard

This movie is a labour of love for first time director Al Pacino. The film is a simultaneous telling of Shakespeare's gripping drama and an intimate look at the actor's process. This movie is a comic romp through the streets of New York, on to the birthplace of Shakespeare and finally to the beautifully realised production of RICHARD III.

This documentary by Al Pacino takes the viewer into the heart and soul of William Shakespeare and gives an interesting American twist on this British phenomena. Pacino gives the view an interesting insight into our some of the America's best actors have grasped and come to view Shakespeare in a light-hearted way. Recommended to all those who don't understand Shakespeare.

The video transfer of this documentary is presented in an aspect ratio of 16:9 enhanced widescreen and is quite clear and sharp with Dolby Digital 5.1 for that great surround sound. Unfortunately no special features were included in this DVD which is a shame.
