Jack Hunter and the Lost Treasure of Ugarit

Starring Ivan Sergei as Jack Hunter, Jack Hunter and the Lost Treasure of Ugarit is actually a made for TV movie series and this is the first instalment of this treasure hunter. The series at times feels like Indiana Jones with over the top plots, clichéd stories and bad acting and this current story has Jack, a treasure hunter searching for the star of Ugarit.

Of course, there’s more to this story than meets the eye and this artefact is actually an ancient weapon and unfortunately for our hero, the NSA and Russian Mob are searching for it. Things begin to heat up once the chase is on and the bullets start flying with Jack’s corny dialogue to boot. Like Indiana Jones, Jack has a rival or nemesis by the name of Albert Littman as they attempt to find this ancient artifact in Syria, however unfortunately for Jack, Albert will use any means necessary.

Featuring over the top action and some really bad special effects at times, Jack Hunter and the Lost Treasure of Ugarit may not be the greatest movie around but it does have some moments that will leave a smile on your face. It’s one of those movies that you would not seek out but once you start watching, you’ll be drawn to sit through the entire movie.

The video and audio quality is quite acceptable and considering the budget, there is not much to complain of in this department. Cute probably sums this movie up perfectly!
