Harsh Times

Harsh Times is the story of Jim (Christian Bale), a former soldier whose life is plagued by the memories of his time as a soldier which now challenge him to become a normal member of society. Spending time between Mexico with his finance and his best friend Mike (Freddy Rodriguez) in L.A., the pair deceive Matt's girlfriend (Eva Longoria) into thinking that they are looking for work in the streets of L.A. while really getting involved in nefarious activities such as stealing from drug dealers and challenging the local gangs.

As the story progresses, we find out that Jim has been declined a position in the L.A. police force and decides to try his luck to join the FBI with their Homeland Security unit. Unfortunately for Jim and his friend Matt, the pair descend into chaos as they question what society wants of them and what they want of society. A truly gripping performance by Christian Bale who is directed by David Ayer in this tale from the creators of Training Day that is gripping, inspiring and deadly.

With beautiful cinematic scenes, this DVD is presented in an aspect ratio of 16:9 with glorious Dolby Digital 5.1 that is truly a first class movie experience. Highly Recommended!
