Grumpy Old Men at Christmas

What a classic series and funny formula. Take a bunch of ornery older blokes with a truckload of life experience, get them together and tell them they can say just whatever the heck they want on a given topic.

The result is one of the funniest, most honest things you are likely to see on a DVD. There is nothing PC about the way that they say things and all comments are straight from the hip.

Complaints range across a broad spectrum of topics that will have you in stitches, including a topic almost taboo in Cliff Richard! Whilst the grumpy factor is played up a bit during this DVD, the men featured are simply hilarious and do strike a number of points that you will agree with or at least sympathise with!

The video quality is what one would expect from a TV title, as is the audio. The video is 16:9 enhanced and audio 2.0 stereo. Both are fine and present no problems for this reviewer. Running for an hour, this disc was so cool that I was disappointed with the hour slot and wished for more, especially considering the workload is shared by a decent group of entertainers.

Short run time not withstanding, highly recommended.

Actors featured in this DVD are: Arthur Smith, Will Self, John Peel, Rick Wakeman, Rory McGrath, Jeremy Clarkson, Andrew Marr, and John Sergeant
